I am an observer and learner of the Tai Yuan people, more commonly known as the Northern Thais.
As such, one cannot do it without of the essential backdrop of also understanding “Thailand” as a nation, an identity and a religion.
WHAT
This blog is an online journal of personal notes from readings and from living amongst the Tai Yuan people, that aids me in gradually understanding the beautiful picture of their culture, worldview and livelihood.
WHY
Understanding the unique tastes that different cultures and worldviews bring to the table should encourage for better mission strategies and contextualised discipleship.
My passion is in journeying with followers of Jesus Christ from a predominantly
Folk Buddhist and Animistic context, and together see the relevance of living out the power and purpose of Christ in their lives.
